Status Code problem

I bought an xbox 360 elite with a lite on drive in december 2010 and had it modded I havent used it much got bored wanted to play a game when I went to load the game it said there was an update needed well since I wasnt online and never have been I didnt think much of it UNTIL I did it. Now I keep getting this error and It wont even let me load a store bought game.

Status code 23ef-397f-b800-0f00-c000-0034.

Any help with a fix would be great I've searched the site but did not see this in the foum.

Flash your drive back to stock, download the 14719 update onto a USB stick and apply to the console. It should pass this error message.

I sent mine off so not sure what all was done to it. Is it easy to flash and can I do it from my laptop? Also if I happen to get the orginal game would it let me update it like that just incase I cant reflash it myself and have to find someone?

I would advise against using discs to update where possible. Optical media can be imperfect, as can the laser and lens. You eliminate a lot of problems purely by applying the SystemUpdate via USB.

Doea that mean, you don't actually have the original game?
