okay so first off this is my first attempt at rgh on my jasper 256 6750 with dash 14699. i have already read the nand, built ecc and flashed the coolrunner using nand-x usb. i was at the point where you were supposed to boot the xbox into xell and all that jazz. the xbox turned on but the fans kept getting faster and faster and no lights at all on the coolrunner. i assumed it was my shoddy soldering so i pulled the qsb and just used wires. the soldering and install went way smoother. however in the process of removing the qsb i damaged the stdby_clk pad and simply soldered to the alternate stdby point on the back board (FT2R2). now the xbox wont boot at all and i cant read or write to the nand. now ive read all over the place that this is most likely due to the stdby_clk. my questions are:

1.) if the original stdby_clk pad (not resistor) is damaged would this cause the alternate point to fail as well?

2.) if i did in fact fry the resistor at the original stdby_clk would that also cause the alternate point to fail?

3.) is there any other solder point that would cause these same symptoms?

i will add that due to all this my soldering skills have improved a great deal so i am confident on the new solder point at FT2R2 underneath the board. but will post pics if need be.

Yes if the trace run is damaged AT ALL from the point it leaves the HANA chip to the point on the bottom of the motherboard where it feeds into the SOUTHBRIDGE then you will have to repair that continuity. If the resistor is not missing and still connected to the HANA on the HANA side then it should be an easy fix. Note diagram found below:

thanks so much guys! youve all helped so much. i think it should be done by tonight. one last question, how do i go about dumping the nand while coolrunner is installed again? i figured this would be the safest way to check to see if my repair worked. would i simply connect the psu and go or does the coolrunner need to be switched to prg?
