what are the different steps used for unlocking the slim liteon drive (while upgrading the drive) rather than rubbing alcohol???

Soft Lock your DVD drive and next time you wont have to use any method like alcohol or lighter trick. Its simple as unlock- Read-CFW-Flash-Soft Lock and Done

You never stated what type of drive you had, what type of pcb you had, or what spi type you had.not possible if i use spirit instead of alcohol????

i want to unlock and upgrade but not sure how. Went through JF TUT but got confused like can i use spirit or any other easy process???

winbond drives can only be unlocked through kamikaze
once its kamikazed, they are very easy to re-unlock

You have to drill a hole on a chip. I believe the exact location is in the jungleflasher tutorial. Search YouTube to get a idea of how to do it.
