Just a quick one before I have to strip this again, jasper board everything working fine including nandswitcher, put all back together and it's all fine.
I see that the falcon xsvf has good results and I never tried that, so put that on and it's fine, longest glitch was 6, so try the nandswitcher and no boot, turn if off and switch with the demon switch and still the retail doesn't boot, I read the nand and compared to original and get 2 different errors, 0x0366 and 0x03de, so why have these changed and is it anything to do with it not booting retail.

Thanks.

3de is where SMC Config lives.

I would use your original dump (pre-bad blocks) and build a new retail, then erase the 360 NAND and re-write back using fusion. Make sure to use the noremap function in J-Runner.

cheers but no good, I built a new retail and no boot, then wrote the original dump and still no boot, glitch still boots fine, looks like I'll have to open it up later,
anywhere I should look, considering it was working fine.

Thanks.

Glitch side works fine, set to retail and the console starts as normal, fans run, dvd drive checks, and green dot lights but that's it, no boot.

Thanks.

You said you built and wrote a new retail NAND, so please post the J-Runner log from it including the write log.

Just testing this now, very strange, yep it's now working, having it go wrong with the falcon xsvf I just wrote the A file and now retail is booting.
I don't see what that could have done but I don't understand software,
Martin. could that be possible or is it coinsidence and I have an intermitent problem, I'll do more checking when I've finished my work.

Thanks.

Well it does with this, with the A xsvf it booted retail every time, just gone back to the Falcon xsvf and no retail boot, put the A back on and retail is booting.

Since you post no logs on the xsvf being written, I'll put it down to user error.

Flip the switch on your coolrunner to the "PRG" setting when you attempt to boot with the retail nand - this will disable to coolrunner while booting retail until Martin can get you a demon enabled timing file.

I interpreted the above initially to mean that the chip was attempting to glitch on the stock nand, but then reconsidered and thought he may have meant the green power light on the front of the console, but once you pointed out the timing file he was using was not demon enabled it seemed obvious that the coolrunner wasn't being disabled for retail booting.
