I have been cruising different forums for a couple of months now trying to decide which chip to buy. I have 3 Xbox and decided to go with Smartxx on all three, mainly from all the BS I read on the Xecuter forums and the Xodus forums, although the child like behavior definitely seems to come from this end more than thiers. I can't understand how anybody can get so worked up over another product, particularly when they are not involved in the profit or loss of the product they support.

Point in case: Nutsak, from the Xodus forums:

I run a PC and used console store and we are going to offer modding as a service, possibly reselling modchips through a website. I know that Xecuter may not consider 3 chips now or even the 20 we have pre-requested for mods a big deal, but I cannot believe that I am the only one who would have reservations of using a product that I would not want my customers using the support forums for. All the flaming and "stupid noob" responses serve no one.

Last - I know I shouldn't put my two cents in this... but hey, I can critisize... then turn around and give my opinion Someone goes over to Forum B, and starts sh*t saying forum A makes better products. Forum B is not going to sit there like a pussy and contemplate wether it is true. Hence, forum B is going to come over to Forum A, and bring the exact same sh*t Forum A brung over to Forum B, making both Forum A and Forum B useless, crappy forums which are flaming and spamming, instead of usefull helpfull info.

Personally I think that if you are basing your modchip selection on the behaviour of forum users then you are grossly misguiding your customers. Bottom line is the X3 is a far superior product over the SmartXX and Xenium, to not offer them simply because of some fanboy banter is ridiculous (in my opinion).

Buy an X3 and try it and you'll see what I mean, for **** sake I designed the Xenium and was instrumental in the early designs of the SmartXX and I'm selling my customers the X3 because it is what I believe is best for them.

Just my 2 cents worth, do what you will with it!

Most modchip customers just want to be able to have alternative dashes, run backups of games and be able to upgrade their HD. In that sense you don't need an advanced modchip at all, even if it can make much of what you're going to do easier.

I've purchased both Xecuters and Xeniums, and have had problems with both, but I use these forums to help me solve the problems instead of lashing out at the people who make the chips.

My impression is that the forums for the different "teams" have quite different attitudes. Here, everyone asking a question is classified as a n00B by people that have more than 20 posts and is considered an idiot for not managing to search themselves, all Xenium users and developers are thought of as jackasses.
On the Xenium forum on the other hand, everyone asking a question IS a n00B and Xecuter users and developers are thought of as bullies.

EDIT: Oh, and Xeniums self-praise on their website is just silly. Nothing wrong with their cheap chip though.

as an xecuter customer, you should show some decency and maturity and realise that fighting fire with fire only causes larger flames, so some team xodus forum members may come here and try to stir sh*t, doing the same on their forums will not solve the problem, only encourage them to do it even more, whereas, ignoring them, and showing a little common sence, lets you come away with some dignity.

take the moral high ground and be a man, failing that, if your hell bent on dragging your name through sh*t, dont associate yourself with the rest of us by plastering your profile with xecuter links.
