Straight to the MS Dash not unleashX

I am working on my friends xbox, and he has an xecuter2. The box will only boot to the M$ dash. I can get the led's on the chip and the switch to light up but it still boots to the M$ dash. All of the cables are conneted correctly and stuff. I just can't figure this one out. I've done a couple of X3 boxes but this is my first go with the X2, so any help would be nice. Thanks.

Are u holding the power button too long???

just tap it and if everything is correct, it will boot from the chip, but if u hold the power button for a second, it will boot the M$ bios

I thought that feature was only for X3's. This chip has a toggle switch to disable/enable. It doesn't matter how long you hold the power button.

o, u got an X2, my bad....

then im really not sure.....sorry...next time i'll pay a little closer attention

Got it working! The chip was not making a good connection to the d0 point, so the M$ dash was coming up instead of unleashX.

what bios are you using?

is the bios configured to boot the correct dashboard and it's appropriate filename?

what is the proper file name for UnleashX?

The .xbe file can be any name you want it to be
But by default it is unleashX.xbe
