GENERAL Strange demon fault

Hi Guys,

Ive done 25+ DemoN installs but never have i had a strange fault like this.

I installed a DemoN in a slim, Before install i checked read/write on demon and that was fine. It would boot stock & glitch no problem so i decided to FTP some files across to the onboard HDD and and after about 5 mins i got red dot and the xbox turned itself off??

I tried to turn the xbox on and it would beep and go straight to red dot, both nands. The error code was 0010. After leaving it a while it would boot but after about 30 secs in would red dot again and turn off. So i took it apart and checked all my soldering for shorts etc but nothing.

After hours playing around with it i eventually found the problem. The xbox doesnt like having the sync button wire connected from the demon. With out this wire the xbox is fine both nands.

Just wondered if anyone else encounted this fault before?

I know of the forum rules that pics are required. The sync button issue doesnt really bother me, just wondered if anyone else had encounted this problem as i tried searching but nothing.

The only thing i didnt try was another front RF board just to rule that out.

Never had an issue like this. The sync button is a 'make' switch (single push) so there's no reason why it would cause the problem. As I said, there's more chance of it being a soldering problem and without images, impossible to advise either way.
