There's something wrong with my 360. I've replaced the JTAG wiring (2 diodes, 1 jump wire) with the defacto standard (2 resistors, 2 transitors - the blackaddr way) and I'm getting an E74 when I try to boot freeBOOT.
I've tried several versions of freeBOOT, including the one I did on the console the first time. I've tried writing to the nand via the nand-x and Xell. All of them produce the E74.
The fact that Xell is booting suggests to me that the JTAG wiring is fine. I know Xell is 100% CPU driven, so it's possible to have Xell work, and not have a hacked dash work.
And here comes the head scratcher - the stock dashboard seems to work just fine. I didn't test it, but when I restored it the console booted into it fine with no E74. And for the final kicker, on one occassion when flashing the nand via Xell I saw artifacts on the screen. I literally couldn't make out the text such was the video corruption.
Any idea what could be wrong??
