Strange new HD activity on my Xbox

I'm pretty sure I hadn't noticed this before, but in the past 3 days my Xbox has been accessing the HD pretty regularly. I know this because I have the X3 panel on front and the blue HD led is most often constantly lit, with sparatic flashes off, almost as if there was a process running in the background. This happens whether I'm in the EvoX or Avalaunch dashboard, latest XBMC, or in the X3 bios. After a while, the access will stop and return to what I consider normal HD accessing, but this is starting to concern me. Has anyone else experienced this problem recently. Only recent changes to the system are XBMC update to 01-08-05 build, and Avalaunch update to 0.49.3 (and update via Avalaunch). I'm not up to speed on how the OS itself works so I don't know if it's even possible to have another process running in the background when other apps/games are running.

Ideas?

btw, do you have xbox live?

mine accesses the hdd all the time. if it hasn't caused a problem i wouldn't worry about it.

it is not acessing the HD constantly it just looks like that because of the way that the lite works I guess I have a X3 and I had a X2.3bpro in it and a HD lite that I put in my self now I got the X3 and the HD lite on the X3 blinks twice as much as the ont ehat I put in no reason that I can think of maybe someone will tell me and then we will all know
