Strange Problem??

Ive installed a few chips with usually no prbolem, I have a 1.6b xb . This time when installing the 2.6ce the xbox boots up and goes str8 to asking for the time and date to be enterd. Wont goto Flashbios any ideas??thx

Sounds like it isn't actually booting from the chip. What happens if you boot with the chip off?

Its the exact same , when the chip is on or off, bank 1 or bank 2 nothing happens.Usually if ive not solderd correctly from experience you get he xmas tree lights. But ive never had this.

Check to make sure your D0 point is right. That is what tells the Xbox to boot from the chip. If you have a multimeter, check your switches with that before taking the soldering iron back to the motherboard.
