Hey. This is a RGH on Slim but the question is more suited to JTAG area because there is no issue with the coolrunner.
Slim Console Glitches no problem. Was originaly on 13604.
The freeboot has 1 remapped bad block done with Jtag Tool. 290 found @ 3FF
I had an issue with the Guide button not working but I thought it was an error in my dashlaunch ini file. Until now. While updating to the dash I experienced E79 after creating the new freeboot and remapping the same way.
Along the way trying different images I realized that the remapped versions were the problem. Guide button did not work and also I could not format in settings.
Flashed OG nand back and desoldered 3V from coolrunner. Was able to reformat drive and Guide worked. So I Flashed a freeboot 13604 of OG nand without a remap and those symptoms went away on the freeboot image as well.
Again now I made a freeboot of 14699 without remap. Flashed and E79 went away and new dash booted.
So.........from a thread I had read that stated if nothing is wrong with remap don't bother remapping. Would this be considered true in this case? Do we know what precisely is in block 290 that would cause this?
Does it sound more like a bad remapping?
