LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM strange slim flshing problem

i have a strange problem of flashing a slim 0225 drive with mxic chip (03)
i have done about 20 or so and all been fine except this i grabbed the key as normal all went fine installed tx switch (not full pcb) and now jf wont recognise the drive and wont flash
i can only get it to intro by selecting slim rather than phat if i select phat it just goes on forever

then it just stops if you do it under slim its writes then fails the reading back

It won't intro on phat as it's a slim drive. that option is for replacement PCBs.

Take a picture of the switch you fitted.

if its a sputnik switch,set resistor setting to 10, move switch to unlock,intro unlock/ move switch back to normal,read/write frimware

are you putting the switch back to normal before you write

Have you definitely cut the trace there? Looks like it's still joined.

Once the drive is unlocked, set the switch back to normal.

err no i didnt switch back to normal will try now

cheers guys it wasnt coming up the 0x8c for me to unlock the spi it has and i unlocked and everthings good cheers
