RGH Strange. Slim Will Not Shut Down

Ok. I have a strange problem with a slim that I have just rgh'd.

It glitches, and runs fine. However, when I power off the console (either with the power button or controller) the screen goes black as if it is switched off, and the power light goes off.
Strangely though the fan keeps spinning, and the power light fades back on/off every few seconds. After about a minute I gave up pulled the plug. The console still glitches/runs fine but every time it is shut down this occurs.

The console has nothing extra plugged into it, and is running a normal internal hdd.

I haven't been able to find any info on this, so any input at all would be appreciated.

a play and charge kit will cause this too

if its a background process like play and charge or downloads hit the power button twice fast and it will power down completely

How did you wire the CPU_RST ? In the beginning (when there was no speaking of the coiled blue wire) I experimented with that wire and looping it around the fan or just letting it float on the topside. I could turn the xbox on just by wiggling that wire at some point.

If yours is not coiled up on the bottomside of the board, this might have something to do with it ?

I knew a play&charge kit did that, but one isn't connected.

I will check the background downloads setting shortly. That hadn't even entered my head as it is running FSD, but I guess if the option was enabled it may try to dl'd cover art etc?

If yours is not coiled up on the bottomside of the part, this might have something to do with it.

Yeah the blue wire is installed in a coil under the board

I have a USB 8gb thumb drive and a play and charge kit. When I shut down fans keep going and light from the USB drive pulses.*

Just power it back on and shut it off fast. Or double press the power when shutting off. It does the trick

Sometimes I just leave it lol. Fans spinning to cool it more. Oh well can't get worst
