Strange xbox dash problem

when i boot to the xbox dash in unleashx it works (set for the one in C: drive)

but when i disable the chip i get error 13 surely they are both booting the same xbox dash

any ideas

Have you done anything to the Xbox dash files?
Is this a stock HDD?
If not, did you copy over the C and E files from your stock HDD?

it is not the stock hard drive but i also copied over both the C: and E: drives

I'd recopy the files over - just to be sure..

What version Xbox do you have?

i have a 1.1 with X3 and 200Gb 7200rpm Western Digital HD (8mb cache)

Have you tried restoring the MS dashboard from Slayers 2.6?

no probably because ive never used slayers and people say that your better off without them though i will give it a go thanks

I wouldn't use it if it wasn't for two reasons:

It makes a good Evox FTP boot disk

It has the original MS Dashboard files on there which can be restored to your Xbox.

Error 21's actually better.

It means your Xboxdash.xbe file isn't genuine. Maybe you tried to patch it for region free DVD viewing? It has to be the untouched version. Make sure you replace all the C drive files to do with MS Dash at the one time. Otherwise they won't check out with each other. They all have to be the same version!

I can send it to you if you like - if you have Slayers 2.6 Installer, then just boot and reinstall from there.
