Hey guys.

Just a strange problem I ran into.

I found another exploitable xenon in my pile. Dash was on 6690.

I opened it up to find it was already jtagged.

Powered back on but it would not boot to Xell. It would boot into the dash with the power or eject (tray would open, console would boot to dash)

I wired up to read the nand and it said cannot continue.

I double and triple checked my wiring and same error.

I installed QSB's and still the same error.

My next step it to try my nand-x on another console. Has anyone had their Nand-x die?

Is it possible not to read a nand on a working xbox?

If there is a broken trace/lifted pad then yes you will have issues reading the nand on a working system.

Check all traces coming from your solder points to ensure they are in good condition.

Yes, the nand-x can die if not used properly - power coming in on a line it shouldn't can cause bad things to hapen. if you can read another console then your nand-x is in working order and it has to do with the console itself.

Thanks guys. I will look at the traces again. I always  when I open a box and I see bolts and washers.

I may have hooked up the nand-x cables out of habit with the usb running to it or shorted something out.

I will try this unit, if not I have a backup. I will have to be more careful with the nand-x. Never had any issues with my ck or 360pro.
