Hi,

Is there any way to run Cromwell 3.01 (backup bios on xecuter) on 1.6b version.

i installed a wrong bios on the relevant bank and the only solution is to run the cromwell 3.01 (the 3.03 erased).

p.s

something very strange happens .. my switches are on 4th bank and when i powerd the xbox it goes to the flashbios 3.01 once ! after that it didnt come back again.

Hold the power button and eject button as you boot up. The backup bios should be 3.0.1.

Simple answer is no ,
I have heard that on very rare occasions 3.01 will boot on a 1.6b but i believe its a case of pressing reset, then reset, then reset etc...up to 100 times.
maybe it catches the ram timing just right...but i'm not sure.

it's a very long shot i think your gonna need a friend with a non 1.6b box and put your chip on there to reflash, im afraid.

ver 1.6b needs 3.0.3 flash bios...

that's not gonna help him.
