Struggling with X3

I've been trying to install the X3 modchip and am still struggling (even after having checked my soldier points 10 times. When I start the Xbox, I get one Blue LED on the X3 and the regular Xbox menu boots up just fine. However, the external "X" LED does not light up. Since one Blue LED on the X3 lights up, I believe that the modchip is getting power. However, I don't understand what the problem is with the other LED.

(Sorry in advance for sounding so retarded).

PLEASE HELP!!!

If you don't have both leds lighting up, nothing will work.

Which one is not lighting? the 3.3v or the 5v? If its the 3.3v, check pins 9 and 15. I've heard of people having problems with pin 9 and just bridging pins 9 and 15 together. The LPC rebuild PCB does this for you.

If its the 5v, its just simply the wire on the top of the mb in the tut.

I think its the 3.3v LED that is not lighting up. When i pull out the alternate 5v connector from the modchip, the LED does not light up, and when it is plugged it lights up. So taking into account what you said, i then soldered pins 9 and 15 together with a wire just to make sure they are bridged (keep in mind i already am using the rebuild PCB). I tested it and no luck, I still only have that 1 LED lighting up :( . I dont know what else to try.

-edit-
It's 3.3v LED that doesn't light up

i think that was already made clear. maybe you should try redoing the PCB board....

I decided to resolder the PCB board as suggested. I removed as much solder as I could and put it back in what I thought might be a sure fix for my xbox. However, when I went to test my new setup, as soon as I plugged my power cable in, the X3's 5volt LED turns on and the xbox itself seems to not be getting any power. The power buttons don't work either. The only way to turn off the LED is to unplug the xbox power cable. I thought maybe I must have messed up on the soldering somewhere without noticing, so I touched it up a bit and tested again. No luck still same problem. I then removed the pcb to test if the xbox works fine without the modchip, which it does. I put it back on and I get the same problem as I described above. I've been working on this all day and it seems that my progress has just deteriorated :(.

Please help!
