Stuck at Samread too, but diff problem

I have a Sil3114 on board sata chipset, i dont know if i have to configure it for a raid setup or anything like that, i dont know much about sata but how to plug it in and get drives going but not in a raid format. anyway i type in when i get to the dos command *samread 1234567 12345* i tried both that number, and the one on back of xbox case, but i get this

Im sure i added stuff thats not really needed, but i wanted to make sure you get a correct understanding of where im at to help get this fixed, i have my computer and xbox still on in dos atm, ill just check in from time to time, ty in advance

ps im pretty sure i followed the instructions to the best of my abilities, i will check once again tho to make sure

u didnt follow it to a T.

If u did u would know that u cannot use a sil chipset to flash a samsung drive!!!!
It just wont work.
u have to use a VIA Chipset (via vt6421l) is the recomended card for sammy drives!

i suggest u get one then try again.

im using Textbooks Xbox 360 Firmware tutorial and where it lists the onboard SATA it says SIL 3114 and says yes under the works tab, that is why i thought it would work, but from what you are saying, this information is wrong, or im missunderstanding the tutorial?

sorry i didnt see that in the guide because i didnt look at the on board part because im using a card.

it says

Asus A8N5X SIL 3114 Yes Yes Reported working only if you
flash the chip to non-RAID BIOS?

does that mean i have to disable the raid feature in my bios (if thats even possible) ? or am i pretty much looking at buying a different sata controller?
sorry for my lack of understanding

if it is onboard u have u will have a option in ur bios to set it to sata or raid. have a deep look in your bios for it.
it will be there!

if not mabe u should invest in a vt6421l card.
i got mine for £13.00

the same thing is happening to me, but im using a via 6421a pci card, it says orig.bin does not exist, i have followed the guide exactly up to this point.... please help??

I cant even see that via you tube , i suggest you read the tut were you will find answars , also textbook has recorded video tuts as a guide line have a look at them !!!!!!!!!!! cheers
