I had problems flashing my drive to stock FW but at the end after some errors and other problems I did it but now my drive stuck in vendor mode, send a outro doesn't do the trick, I also tried reflash but it still doesn't go out from a vendor mode. Also now my drive keeps opened and if I try to switch of my Xbox it closes the drive and then it opens again just before switching off, keeping my drive always open, also green lights keeps always flashing.

P.S. This is not my first time flashing xbox drive, in the past I never had this kind of problems, and don't know what to do any more, I spent about 8 hours in the past two days trying to flash it to stock and I still haven't done it :mad: Please Help Me

First off mate what Drive it is? some drives dont need exit Vendor, Just turn drive power off and connect it back to Xbox..
Second; The flashing 360 light is normal IF your flashing your drive using your xbox has Power, the light flashing means no connection to Drive aka Sata, If you've connected the drive to Xbox with all wires back "has normal" and its flashing you've Done something wrong mate, Means the xbox isn't picking the drive up and this could be FW!, I'd try again mate, Connect it back up, Make sure your using your Original Key, .OFW, The Right Stock fw, PRE or POST and latest Flash.. But dont worry about flashing it atm, Focus on getting it to Stock using .OFW and Stock for your drive and getting originals work..
But please tell us whats drive your using, drives are different mate and some vendor mades are different then others.. one of my mates managed Brick his xbox because he flashed his Hit once and Thought flashing a liteon was the same.. what works for one Wont work for another, if it did that JF.tut only be afew pages not afew hundred pages

Oh yes, sorry I forget, my drive is Lite On 8350C. And yes the lights even flash when I connect it to my Xbox. I know that is shouldn’t be a problem exiting vendor as at the beginning of my flashing I exited vendor just by switching drive off but now it doesn't work

Well if its flashing with your xbox connected then something wrong with your FW, Long has you've got you .bin you should be fine, The fact your having problems getting out of vendor might be a problem with your Pc's sata and disconnecting it, I've flashed afew Liteons and some I dont exit vendor, i simply Turn xbox off and it works fine So exiting vendor isn't your problem, Something bad happened to you when you flashed, If I was you i'd connect you liteon, Put it in vendor mode and test your .bin," open it has source and right click Just left of the DVD key @ and Click Test key" if its fine, Keep it had Source, Load Target has the Liteon OFW that you downloaded, CHOSE the right one, pre and Post is important... click Spoof Source to target etc and Erase and Write... ALWAYS use the JFtut.pdf mate, your solution is on PAGE 146!... get it back to stock mate, its easy to fix just be careful, you dont wanna completly brick the drive now :)..
Afew notes.
1; Make sure your xbox has Av cable in, dont want it turn off,
2; 100% make sure you ground the PC case to your xbox's one...
3; Always do a quick scan of the pdf before opening JF...
4; If your JF having trouble finding your drive try restarting PC and Open and close drive has windows is loading..
5; Don't make a Silly mistake, Confused and not sure don't try clicking things your not sure, 1 button can do alot of damage if its the wrong one :)

we'll get your problem solved mate.. Just going take alittle time :)

Thanks for your help I will try to do that just as I come back home after work. Just few quick question about what you said:

CHOSE the right one, pre and Post is important...
Which I need to use? I used Pre. Is that right?

100% make sure you ground the PC case to your xbox's one...
How do I do that? I never did that even in the past

I read JF PDF not once, at the beginning I was doing every step which was said in there but still something went wrong. I even started to think that it’s a pc fault, like something wrong with the drivers, as I'm using this pc to flash for the first time as my old one not working now (which I always used before), and I didn't had any problems with it. Is possible that I have all these problems flashing my drive because something is wrong with my VIA drivers? As didn't do anything with it and I know what on some pc's you need to reinstall or something. My old pc didn’t need that I thought this one will be fine too.

Anyway I will try to do everything you said when I come back at home and I let you know what’s happen. Thanks again for helping ;)

sounds to me like he may have damaged the tray status pin on the xbox motherboard

if this is the case, the xbox is garbage essentially

for this reason, i encourage people to use a ck3

i had the same problem as you with my drive which is the same.
heres what i did in JF:

first try to intro the drive in vendor mode.
click intro/device id
it should come back unknown
click it again a second time and doing the power cycle thing as it says on screen and now it should be recognized as in vendor mode.
proceed with your write process if u need to
click outo/ata reset to get it out of vendor mode.

hope this helps

Hello again. So spent few hours to do that you all said but with no luck. What’s happening is that I can erase, write FW with no problems, even when I click outro it does that with no problems (by JF) it says that everything is done but when I switch off my console after this, connect my Xbox sata cable back to drive and try to turn it on, Xbox light is still flashing and my drive doesn’t want to open. When I connect it back to JF it recognises my drive with no problems it shows me F/W Rev, it says that DVD key is verified etc. everything look normal except what my console does not work and the lights still keeps flashing. I tried to write different FW (stock, lt 1.1, lt 2) I even tried to load my source and target with my original bin but still same problem. I even tried to follow jungle flasher like you said from a page 146 which was the same as I always did and everything is happening as it should be and as shown in jf.pdf except what my console doesn’t work and keeps flashing after everythink I really don’t have idea what can I try to do more. What’s happening with it and why does this happening???? I’m at that point now when I just want to smash it into a wall… Please help me. Is there is anything I can try to do more?

And yes I’m using my original dummy.bin as I only got two and another is much older

I spoke on IRC on JF channel about my problem and one guy told me what my drives flash chip probably got damaged and that’s the reason it’s not working after flashing. This is the only explainable reason I can think of too. He said that sometimes its just happen, and of course I'm that "Lucky" one who gets that.... :( So now I will need to get a new a drive. Do I need to get exactly same Lite On 83850c or any Lite On will be fine? Also to write my original key do I need to do same procedure as writing fw?

any phat lite-on will work, as they are the same hardware

just lite-on erase and flash with whatever firmware you wish

OK so I bought a new replacement drive same as my old one (83850c). I flashed my key to it connected to xbox but still same thing happen. I tried to change my cables from another old xbox, it didn't helped and then after few tries I started to get RROD on my xbox  Now every time I turn on my xbox it gets RROD with my old and new drive, but if I try to turn it on without my drive it doesn't get RROD just my lights keeps flashing again. Whats wrong with?? How can I fix it? I know I haven't done anything to my motherboard or any other part because I haven't touch it in any wrong way, I was very careful so I couldn't damage anything else. Help me please

P.S. My powers supply led is orange when I turn it on and the fans not spinning. But when I turn it on without drive it turns on. I will try to reconnect everything again when I come back to home as I didn't have time to do more checking at that day when this happen

So I reconnected all my cables very careful and now I don't get RROD again, so probably my drives power cable was connected wrong side. But now after RROD went away I came back to previous problem, my new drive does same thing as my old drive, its flashed FW with no problems and everything else goes like it should go but at the end when I connect my drive, my Xbox lights doesn’t stop flashing and my drive is not opening, so that means its not a drive problem. So what’s wrong with it??? It pisses me of so much that I just want to smash it into wall. What can I try to fix it? Could it be a problem with my PC? Maybe somehow it writes FW badly? Maybe something wrong with drivers? I don't really trust that pc, and as I said I'm using it for a first time to flash Xbox. Please help me, what could be a problem?? I really don't think I damaged my motherboard in any way as I didn't even touched it

if you plugged your drive in upside-down, you probably fried the drive

I had this problem even before I plugged it upside-down, and JF recognizes my drive without problems. If it will be fried the JF will not recognize it, I'm right?

please help me to fix me a final problem

Ok guys please, please, please HELP ME! I solving problem after problem and now finally my xbox is working, I can get to dashboard and do all stuff. I fixed that by updating my dashboard from a USB stick and now its working fine except my DVD drive :mad: the light still flashing as before and my xbox says my drive is opening. My both drives does same thing. JF finds both drives with no problems and writes any fw again with no problems. So what’s the problem here? What can be wrong? Also is there is any way to open xbox drive manually? I meant like pc's drives has a small hole there you can putt a needle in of something similar to open manually
