Not sure wich board to post in.
I'm out of town for the next few days and I brought my 360. Only problem is I forgot to bring my ac power cord.
I have the brick but not the part that goes in the wall.
Called the local gamestop's, ebgames, bestbuy, walmart, target, and so on.
Nobody sales these things. The closest I got was at gamestop/ebgames they have an intech power brick.
It costs $99.99 and the dang thing doesnt even come with the cable?
Whats the purpose of buying a new brick if you dont get the cable? (I mean if the brick died I can see, but it would seem they would give you a new .50cent cable)

So does anybody know where I can get a cable today without having to buy a new 360 for 3days?
Are anything I can do? (Like use a regular pc power cable and just cut out the circular piece so it will fit in the 360?)

Is a regular pc cable the same cable as the 360 with just that little circular piece?

That sucks, and I don't know the answer to the question. I assume the PC power cable would work. I think you're a little obsessed though, if you can't go a few days without playing your 360.

Money was never the issue. I could have bought a 360 for those
three days, but the point was Microsoft Support sucks, sure
they will send me a free one. But why dont they have them
avaiable. Are they afraid that customers might figure something
out.

Maybe that there is a little notch there that does nothing
and serves no real purpose besides frustrating paying
customers when there cable bites the dust, or there
dog bites the cable, someone looses it .etc.

Anyways I thought I should post since that terrible weekend
I have tried a total of 7 different universal power cables
and with a little patience, a file, and exacto knife, and flat
screw driver.

They all eventually worked with the 360 power brick.
It is indeed the same cable nothing different all.

Just takes time to get the molding off to get to the part that holds
the pins. When you get to the pins and the hard plastic, not the rubber
surrounding the plastic you should be able to fit that in.

In all cases some with modifying others without much besides taking
the black rubber off they all worked.

So I know have 8 xbox 360 brick cables.

I just dont understant why a company that gamestop/eb games allows
to sale a power brick in there stores for $100 doesnt come with
the damn cable. Is it to much to assume if I need a new brick, i might
need a new cable?
