ok i have the hitachi 0078fk and i saw the tutorial and have the whole thing ready in my head the question is what can i use to ground my xbox 360 to my pc? sorry for the question its just that im a perfectionist and i want everything to go as perfect as possible, thanks again

Alligator clips, you should be able to get them at Radio Shack or somewhere like that. If not you can get some wire and the clips from Home Depot for a few bucks and make it yourself. (That's what I did.) :wink:

it's not really a problem in the uk as we have 3 pin plugs........but aslong as both the open pc chasis and the open 360 chasis are touching you should be fine.

I'm in the UK but i still earthed mine plus i wear an ESD strap as i'm a perfectionist lol ;)

I didn't do any of that. And the 360+pc chassis weren't touching each other either. I be crazy like that foo!

Yeah it's not absolutely necessary if you have the 3rd prong (ground) like PrimitiveX5 said. But better safe than sorry IMO, you don't want to be the unlucky one that has something get fried because it turns out it wasn't grounded properly.

I fried some part of my motherboard's southbridge after flashing a Hitachi one day, hehe. The SATA and audio no longer worked at all. Had to get it replaced through RMA warranty. So yeah, it can happen. :)
