Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you and you did read that right - the four-year-old Street Fighter 4 is set to get ANOTHER hefty update revision, that'll also be available as part of a standalone title. Announced at last night's Evo Fighting Championship festivities before being posted on the Capcom Unity blog, the update will feature major balance changes, a "slew of other new features" to be announced and, most excitingly, five (count 'em) new characters to the roster. The new combatants are: Rolento, Poison, Hugo and Elena whom have all appeared in previous Street Fighter games. They'll be joined by a fifth character who has "never been in a Street Fighter game before." This mysterious stranger will be unveiled along with the trailer and official name for the new content during the Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Finals of tonight's Evo 2013 shenanigans. (We'll update this story as and when.)

If you want to get your hands on all this content, you'll have several options depending on which version of the game you have. Super and Arcade Edition owners will be able to upgrade their game with a DLC pack set to cost around $14.99.
Everyone else will be able to buy a standalone disk based version of the game with everything released so far - including all DLC costume packs (and apparently "future content to be discussed") for a bit more: $39.99 (so roughly the regular price of a new retail release over here, we reckon) but you still have to wait a bit longer - the update isn't due until 2014.
