Swap GDR-3120L F/W 0079FL with TS-H943

I bought an XBOX 360 and it has a GDR-3120L with the 79FL firmware. I realise there is a problem flashing these, in the way you simply cant, I have tried. I decided to buy a drive from Hong Kong and got a TS-H943. All good I thought. I cant retrieve the key from the origianl drive to flash it onto my new one!! Is there anyway to do this without sending the drive away to get the key from the chip?

No. You either buy a chip that will allow for reading/writing of the v79, or send it to someone who will desolder the tsop and dump the firmware.
