GENERAL Swap slim drive with phat

Been wrecking my brain for hours now and searched hundreds of tuts without any luck...

So I got conned into believing the slim I bought has a faulty drive only to discover it only had the drive casing - everything else was removed. I managed to RGH the console but would like to get a drive working and I only have a liteon 74850 drive available. I've done some reading and spoofing appears easy if you have the dummy bin but I dont as there is no pcb in the dvd. Whenever I build a cfw file in JF I get F's in the key field - the only way to get the key recognized is if I build a 74850 cfw. I then tried to patch the nand with a new OSIG and disable nofcrt but after I build the nand and reload it into JRunner I get the 16D4S build:facepalm:

In short - can I get the phat drive to work in the slim without the dummy bin? if so, any assistance will be highly appreciated.

Just flash the drive with 0251C LT3.0 file and manual spoof ur dvd key

Built the image with enable nofcrt patch with out changing any thing else

Flash nabd with no fcrt patch. Flash drive with key. Will only work if remaining rgh.

Just flash the key and lt3 to the phat liteon as normal. Build glitch image with nofcrt enabled. It will play disks but needs to be cut down to fit inside the slim. Don't need to mess with the kv if it stays RGH.

Don't flash drive key to ur nand. Because u will have to do it every time u update console. Just get ur original dvd key from ur nand n flash the pcb with it n ull be fine.

Going to have to wack myself on the head with a hammer for this stupidity - I decided to inpect the dvd and the ribbon was unplugged at the bottom - works perfect - I've said thanks to all
