Swap Thumbsticks?

Anyone know of a way, perhaps via bios, mod or otherwise to swap the thumbstick assignment? i.e. left thumbstick read as right by game and vice versa.

I can't believe how many games deny themselves 14% of the market by excluding left-handers like myself by not making this simple controller option available. Well done Halo, Doom 3 et al and shame on you Splinter Cell and now Area 51.

After 4 years I thought someone may have thought of a workaround

I too can't believe its not in every game to be able to do this?

The solder option looks scary even with a couple of spare controllers. Any 'softer' options out there? Could it be done in software?
