I have a system that has a broken drive.
I need to swap the drive because one of the stoppers has broken so when it ejects, the tray comes completely out on one side.
Question, if I swap the dg-16d4s drive for another dg-16d4s drive from another Xbox system, it will not play games correct?

Now, one of the solutions to fix this, would be to take the motherboard of the original dg-16d4s and solder it to the new dg-16d4s replacement, correct?
Will this be the only thing needed to get everything to work properly?

u need to swap the pcb to the other drive tho
Thats what I stated at the end of the original post.
I would just unplug the cables connecting the pcb to the drive, and unsolder the wires, then put this pcb on my replacement drive and solder the wires and plug in the cords and this drive will then work as it should correct? No need for any flashing or anything, right?
