I am trying to swap my old MS25 for a new MS25 and it is not working. The old one is part number X800473-016 and the new one is X800473-19. Not sure if that make any difference?

Before putting in the new MS25, I transfer over the circuit board from my old MS25 to the new one. The problem is the new drive will not open the tray by pushing the button or from system menu. The center of the power button continues to flashes.

What am I doing wrong?

you cant just do that, i dont think. you need to dump the firmware of the original and put it on the other. seems like you can but obviously you cant just switch the boards.

Isn’t the firmware on the EPROM chip that is on the board? If I have I have swapped the boards then the original firmware is now in the new drive. What am I missing?

No error codes. Just the green flashing light from the center of the power button.

First time posting, long time reading..

I am having this same problem, and I have before swapped the board from different drives (on different consoles) as long as they were the same brand, with no problems at all. Anyone have any idea's?? Could it be a problem with the board itself?
