The kids were just playing the switch but it crashed. I keep trying to boot back up into CFW or OFW but it won't go past the nintendo logo. In the process of trying to load the switch up I came across a solid orange screen a few times. Has anyone else come across this issue or have any idea what it could be or what to do to fix it? I would be eternally grateful
I am able to boot into the options for SXOS. I took off RCM to reserve the battery and am doing a nand dump in case I might need it

If you're lucky it's just a wifi/bluetooth issue that's just intermittent else it's possibly the module itself that will require a reflow/replacement, which you'd need to pay for a professional to repair, or if the console is under warranty, you might want to consider just sending it off to nintendo, your choices aren't grand from what I read

The wifi wasn't working at all. So that's likely the issue. Is there anything I can do to make it seem like the console wasn't using CFW? What will the repair shop do about it if anything?

Ahh, okay. Well if you take it to an independent repair shop they'll likely just attempt to reflow the module with a rework station. Better to pay a solid professional than a crazy guy with a heatgun though, can't stress that enough :ROFLMAO:.

Also if you remove the SD card there's no trace of the CFW if you use emunand, if it's in autoRCM you should probably disable that before hand if you can access the payload at all.

Otherwise as long as you remove the SD card you should be fine in most scenarios

Nah I wasn't using emunand sadly. The SD card we were using in this one wasn't quite big enough to do emunand and hold a bunch of games. I turned off autoRCM already. Now the magic trick will be to find a repair person in my area.

Are you able to boot to the nintendo recovery menu? hold both VOL buttons while pressing the power button.

No I have tried getting into the recovery menu as well.
As it is all I can do is get into the sxos menu. The orange screen is consistent. Like 30 seconds or so after the switch has been powered on.

Hmm. Yea from this reddit thread it seems to be a hardware issue.
