Hello...
Many people on many forums and sites I visit are all talking about this, but are hesitant to pre-order because of the lack of information more specifically is it solderless install?
Is the chip writable for upgrades in the future? And does it use RCM for the patched and lite models?

Please give us some information please.

PS I already order mine!

Hi,
you should solder a modchip on the motherboard of console.
yes we will be able to update it. Fully updatable.
No, it's another way because the hacking way via RCM has been blocked on new Switch 2019 and Switch Lite.
wish these info can help you and others!

PS I have pre ordered mine too (SX Lite)

There has been posts about it. From what I have read, I believe the Regular Switch/iPatched/Mariko is solderless and the Lite can be solderless, but is recomended to be soldered. With the newest annoucement it will hoepfully be confirmed in a few weeks what the installation entails.

guess we are not sure of what's even been exploited here? can we assume at least the end result is a SX bootloader within the device, being able to load CFW from SD card... with no need for jigs or anything externally (i.e., trinket m0 equivalent)?

completely new to homebrew switch..just ordered a Switch lite with the hopes of dual booting with UbuntuL4T/retropie .. that's my endgame, don't care about much else. until then will be playing breath of the wild :)

The video that TX showed off of the chip in action on a Lite didn't need a jig. They booted from off straight into OS 3.0. Nothing in the USB port and it was on a lite.
