SX Core received, a question about the SX OS license

A very good day fellow SX users!

Today I finally received my SX core after buying it on aliexpress.

Before I get started, I have a question about the SX OS license. From my understanding, this would be included with the SX core/lite. How should this be included? From what I've read its a code that you need use to activate the license, correct?

I've got the chip here, but only the chip. There's no piece of paper or anything in the box. I read some posts about people buying from ali that didn't get any license key, so I'm a bit worried.

So lets say I didn't get a key, do I still need one to use the SX Core at all? I know about Atmosphere, I can use that on my Core without having to buy a key right? I've used and installed Atmosphere before on my friend's Switch so that wouldn't necessarily be a problem. Still, I would be a bit disappointed if I need to buy a seperate key for SX OS but its not the end of the world :p

Also, by the way. I've got a patched switch bought in januari 2019. I need to use V1 right? V2 Switches are the new models that came out later around the same time as the lite models if I understand correctly.

Thanks in advance!

The code is inside of sx core probably. After soldering, when you get to bootloader, it will generate license_request.dat after pressing boot to cfw. This file you have to activate on sx.xecuter.com to get the license.dat. file

When you boot to CFW for the first time, the licence.dat will be generated.
If you bought you console in January 2019, it should be a Mariko, so a Switch V2, not V1.

There are resellers who might sell the old patched switch too. You will already see when you open the cpu shielding. The horizontal aligned caps can only be seen on v2 mariko and vertical aligned caps seen on erista switches v1.

Yeah, in any case, you will know it when you got the console and open it to see the motherboard.
If you are not 200% sure of yourself for the installation, I highly recommend that you ask some help to a professional.
