Hi,
First of all a word of caution: this has been my first ever soldering work and I got the green light and boot.dat? on a third try. The soldering work is a bit of a mess but so far it seems to work.
Last time - 10 years ago - I got a mod chip installed (actually TX CoolRunner for my X360) I decided not to do it myself but hired "a guy" to do it. As I currently live in the countryside where there is no one doing this tiny soldering, I had to try it myself.
So, after a bit of blinking blue, I get the solid green and a proper boot screen.
Great, but when I start to assemble everything back, I ran into a problem:
If I try to insert the screw either on the left side of the heatsink or the one in the bottom of the heatsink, there is no LED action on the mod chip and Switch boots normally to the stock OS. So I guess it doesn't get power. If I take the screw(s) off from the heatsink, the mod chip works correctly.
What could be the issue here?
A couple of notes about the installation procedure to describe my setup more verbosely:
1. On the page 7 of the manual, it says "tuck the tabs of the cable under the shielding". I tucked the tab on the right side under the shielding, but I didn't for the left one because it didn't seem to align nicely. Could this be the issue here?
2. I covered the whole backside of the mod chip with Kapton tape to isolate it.
3. I cut the shielding off quite generously and folded the cutted part on top of the shielding itself, because I didn't have proper cutters on hand.
Here are a couple of pictures of my installation. I will provide more if needed, just didn't want to disassemble it again because I am a bit afraid how much more bending does those ribbon cables take...

Thank you for helping a new guy and not taking a dump on him
