Hardware Details:
Switch Firmware Version: 6.0.1
SXOS Version: 2.3 beta
HDMI Adapter: Fyoung Type-C HDMI Adapter
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start your Switch using SXOS 2.3 beta.
2. Unlock your Switch to make the launcher visible.
3. Plug in the HDMI adapter (unpowered and not connected to a TV over HDMI) into your Switch's USB-C port.
Expected result:
The Switch should continue functioning normally and respond to touch screen and controller inputs.
Actual result:
The Switch continues displaying the launcher, but is unresponsive to touch screen and controller inputs. It continues to be unresponsive, even when the HDMI adapter is unplugged. The only way to recover is by long pressing the power button for 20 seconds to shut down the device.
If I repeat the steps above, but plug the HDMI adapter into USB-C power and a TV over HDMI before plugging the adapter into the Switch's USB-C port, the Switch's screen will go black and fail to respond to touch screen and controller input, even when the adapter is unplugged. As before, this can be recovered by long pressing the power button for 20 seconds to shut down the device.
When I perform the same steps in SXOS 2.0.1, everything works as expected.
I also don't experience any issues with SXOS 2.3 when using the stock Nintendo dock.
I'd prefer to keep using SXOS 2.3, because it corrected the random 2144-0001 crash I was experiencing in SXOS 2.0.1.
