I have done this a few different ways with multiple SD cards. What I’ve found is the license.dat will cause the SX splash screen to flash momentarily, then it reboots into OFW.

Removal of license.dat will allow the launcher to load.
I tried using 2.5.3 boot.dat to generate the license and it does the same thing.
It will only boot to launcher with the license file missing.

256gb Sandisk exFAT or FAT32 same results. I have partitioned and also used a 32gb.

without the license file, I’m able to create the emunand, it (by design) stays disabled until the license file is obtained which I am doing manually.

ps. I can boot atmosphere from hekate perfectly.

Thanks for any help

Did you create a fresh emunand AFTER activating your license? Do you have another SD to test with?

“256gb Sandisk exFAT or FAT32 same results. I have partitioned and also used a 32gb.”

same results on a 256 and a 32gb card. I did the flash on my PC then my Mac.

I even attempted using 90dns settings and booting into stock and trying to activate that way. No go. With license.dat on the card it will not boot.

I got hetake to work perfect with tinfoil. I am not using SX OS. I don’t need a refund. Shouldn’t be this hard.

Where did you download the License from your Mac or PC? The Mac adds an archive bit to files and that causes issue with the Switch reading files.

I obtained the license on both. I attempted the process first on my PC. I did rebuild the SD card every time it failed. Brand new
When it failed multiple times on my pc. I pulled out the MacBook. Tried it there with the same results. With license.dat it will not boot.
I restored my nand before creating the new emunand.

Now that I think about it. I also tried a 64gb Samsung pro SD as well. No matter which boot.dat version I used. 2.5.3 or a stable 2.6.1. I could not make this work. I obtained the license three separate times. Twice on a PC and once on the Mac. I threw in the towel and made the free ware work. Obviously not as elegant but it works. Something to do with the license.dat file.
