SX Os installed game on Atmosphere?

First I want to say I totally enjoy my SX OS (well not now since "my son" updated it. (not!, it was me)

I have a 200gb card filled with game installed from XCI on SX OS.

Been trying Atmosphere on my first card that I had with 2-3 games that work great.

When I load Atmosphere on 7.0.1 with the card with SXos installed game. It ask me the profile to play with and start the game but goes straight to a blackscreen and the only way to reset is by maintening power button.

I understand this is a SX os forum not an Atmosphere one. I'm just wondering if it's "normal" that it doesn't work or i'm missing something?

And for those who might come up with sigpatch, yes I have them since my previous sd card from atmosphere is working now.

The best solution is to wait for SX OS update and everything will work again. But using multiple OS can be a nice option in moment like this.

I'm not 100% versed in this but if you are running .xci through Atmosphere, even if it was installed with the SXos, Atmos doesnt support .xci at all. Only SXos has the ability to play .xci (one of the many perks of SXos). It sounds like you might want to wait for the SXos update if you are primarily using .xci's to be able to run them or you might want to convert them into .nsp. But I don't use Atmos so I don't know if it will even run .nsp.

I hope that helps and that I might be on the right track with what you are asking for help wise.

Also I would be careful how you word your questions. Illegal activity isn't some thing they want to even get an inkling about around these forums.

And If I'm wrong about any of this please help me understand this better also.

My question is opposite, I am a user using Atmosphere right now and I'm thinking of switching to SXOS for compatibility advantage. I have many games installed by nsp on my switch from Atmosphere right now, am I able to play them if now I switch to SXOS?

If you are on a compatible firmware right now then yes SXOS supports both .NSP and .XCI formats.

I never tried it by myself but i´m in the same situation and asked that question in an other forum. A person i rly trust in told me it will definatly work without any problems. He told me that the installation process has nothing to do with a specific CFW and installed games will run with every cfw.

Correct me if im wrong with this but that is what was told to me.

Using atmosphere without modifications does not work.

Instead of using atmosphere directly, download the latest version of kosmos, wich is atmosphere modified. In the kosmos download page (github), there´s also a file with aditional signature patches. Put them on the sd card also.

Do a google search with "sigpatches noob" and go to gbatemp result. There´s aditional sig patches if needed. They seem to have changed with 7.0.1.

The best thing is to put both sigpatches file´s content on the sd card.


On a side note, you can boot directly to hekate(not going to sx menu and using sx pro) by going to team xecuter sx website and downloading sx gear boot.dat and putting it on sd card. Then rename hekate_ctcaer_4.9.bin to payload.bin. This is not related to your question, but i thought it was worth mentioning.



EDIT:

I´ve tried to install 2 xci with sx os and one of them says the app cannot be started and the other one gives me black screen...(atmosphere). Every nsp that i have installed with sx os converted from xci with 4nxci app works fine with atmosphere.
