SX OS Nintendo Switch Compatability

Hi all, new here. Sorry if this a dumb question, but how do i know if my Switch is compatible with SX OS?

On the https://sx.xecuter.com/ website it says the below but when i click the link it takes me to a thread that cannot be found:

"SX OS Works with every Nintendo Switch console released before June 2018 out there. On every firmware version! If in doubt, please check here if your switch is compatible. "

Next to the USB port on your switch should be a long white label. There is a serial number on that which if you enter onto a website such as this one

Will tell you if your switch is patched or not. If it’s not patched then you can use sxos and put hombrew etc on.

The best way to confirm before you buy is to download TEGRASMASH and connect usb to switch and pc. Run Tegrasmash then power on switch while holding Vol+(Vol up) and see if switch connects and icon on program turns green. This will verify that you can enter RCM mode and send a payload. If you want you can send a basic payload such as lockpick to see it work. Plus you will have just learned an important lesson in running payloads that you can use later.
