Try to remove autorcm. Most people getting Blackscreen are stuck on autorcm after boot into cfw. So was I in the beginning.

Just remove autorcm. But before that make a nand backup. It just doesn't brick you Switch that easily. You're making that backup for this case btw. Without that backup you will have a hard time restoring your Switch If it bricks. With the backup you can always boot with the sx pro dongle and restore the nand.
Thanks for your reply but I'm not using Autorcm, I just bought the switch and I haven't done anything at all to it, just loaded sx os 2.9.1 and trying to load CFW thats all I tried to do.

the new ones do tho and is the only reason i want to ... but again i dont use any custom things only use nsp's in offline.
Until you run a game that requires 9.0 it's pretty silly to upgrade as all you get is bugs that aren't in previous versions. I am not aware of any games that require 9.0 yet, though there maybe some. I am still running 8.1 until they iron out the bugs.

No games currently require 9.0 some newer updates do like FIFA it needs Firmware 9.0.0 and master key 7.0 u can ignoring firmware by using sx installer

I am running Emunand 8.1, SX 2.8 and FIFA 20 is asking for an update, shall i just ignore until SX 2.9 is fixed from bugs to work with FW 9.0?

Im in no rush to update but i just want to make sure its safe before i do.
Thanks

Is your SD card formatted as exFat? If so formatting it fat32 will help.

I was having this issue too.
So when booting into SX keep holding the volume up button and it’ll take you to the SX menu successfully.
When you enter rcm and send the payload only let go of the power and volume down button.
keep holding volume up. Try that

Where did the vol- "down" came into play ?
To enter rcm you have to hold vol+ (up) and press power
