SX PRO not working after updating to 6.1

Hello all, I hope this question can be answered as I don't see anyone with my particular circumstance.

Okay so I have had my SX PRO since 5.1 and have always updated to the latest firmware for both the dongle and the system itself. Everything was working fine until I updated to 6.1, updated the dongle to 2.1.1 and started using my 2 TB HDD all in one go, this all worked for a period of time after updating.

Now all of a sudden when I go to install or play any games from the Album menu I get multiple errors for all kinds of different games including that the software is not on the console and to download it, I need the game with the prompt to open it in the eShop, error code 2137-8035 (I understand this is because of steath mode and the game trying to update even though I have already installed the latest update for said game, but it seems to pop up for some games regardless) games crashing or hanging on loading screens, and sometimes after choosing a game it just doesn't pop up on the home menu of the switch and I have to choose it again before it does.

I'm a little confused as to what I did because all of this did work about a week ago and I'm fairly certain that I am not banned unless I'm wrong and all of this is what that means. Some games do work.

Also it's important to note that I can't seem to get my PRO dongle to boot my switch into the CFW consistently anymore after 6.1.1 and I noticed that immediately after the update. It seems that I have to get lucky after many reboots with both the dongle in and the Jig before it will just decide when to actually come on and boot the switch into the CFW (Auto rcm is also installed).

Also also I have tried all of this booting of the system and games without the HDD to see if that had any effect but it did not. Is it possible my dongle is messed up? Can anybody give me some insight?

Id be happy to give any additional info needed, thanks in advance.

Begin with only the SD card, do it all again with just the card. Format it, then have all the needed files redownloaded and put those files inside as indicated. Do not use the external HDD yet. Have a couple of .xci files and .nsp loaded onto it too. Begin from here and then come and report any issues.

Thank you for the reply, after following these steps and reformatting my micro to FAT32 I am still running into the same problems and most of the games I have tried are wanting to force me into an update before starting. If I do get the option to play the game somewhere at the beginning the game (usually before the title or right at it) it will display some sort of error but still let me play (its possible the game wont, I don't have time to sit and sink time into them all to find out if it will crash or not.) These issues happen with both .xci and .nsp files.

Also important to note is I uninstalled Auto RCM and re-installed it to see if that would maybe fix the booting into cfw issue. Before it stopped working the only way I could get my Switch to come on was by plugging the dongle into the console and that would act like a power switch and force the console to come on and boot straight into the cfw. This left the only way to boot into the original firmware by holding the + on the volume to boot into the SX Menu and choosing original from there.

Then something happened (why I started the thread) and I was no longer able to use the dongle like this and only on what seemed like a fluke it would work.

Now after I re-installed Auto RCM I still am only able to boot as long as the dongle is attached but I now have to hit the power instead of the dongle acting as its own power switch and just auto booting the system. In short I am now consistently able to boot the console and boot it into cfw but still only if the dongle is attached but as I understand this is normal (really big shortcoming and negative of the SX PRO in my opinion). So that's a win I suppose

Unfortunately I'm still having problems with the games! For the sake of better context I'll explain it like this for the .nsp files. I installed "x" and also installed the latest update for "x" however the system still wants me to update and not give me the option to just start the game. Here is a screen cap.

I really don't want to boot into original firmware or have to download any kind of update because I would like to avoid a ban.
Im really regretting updating all around.

A ban is always a risk once you decided to mod your console. Latest OFW is always preferred for doing so. You should accept the consequences attached that come with this like everybody else *I am banned and I feel more free, even after paying Greedtendo anually for their "online service", purchasing some eShop titles and having original cartridges...they will not lift the ban to anybody because once they do it they'll do it permanently* So, you should not be caring about loosing online functionality because it will happen sooner or later.

I don't think your dongle is messed up. What you should do is to try with another card, from reputable brand. Clean any gamesave or data from past games off the console memory. You shouldn't worry about eFuses and that stuff, boot normally to perform all this.

I tried to be super careful at "not going online for any reason at all" but....Greedtendo has their way to check every console that has ever go online no matter when and no matter for what. I ended up with a ban, instantly. I'm better now. Once you get banned the real action begins. You will not regret it!

if you had already updated the game before you formatted your microsd, you could not run it again without installing the update again

I suppose I understand where you are coming from but I still think this is ill advised advice. There is always a possibility of a future piece of software or method that might circumvent a ban and its penalties even if you are actually banned but I would still like to be on the more green side of the pasture as Id really like to not be locked out of any of my consoles abilities. I'm not worried at all Its not hard to avoid going online and if I do get banned then so be it, at least I know I didn't take that dive and force it upon myself immediately.

That being said none of what you've said seems to help my situation, are you saying go ahead and ban myself and my situation will be fixed?

Also you really seem to like the term "Greedtendo". Not sure how they've affected you on a level of greed when these devices tend to be used to get any game you want for free. If any thing Nintendo is just a bunch of morons, morons on their systems security, morons for what people actually want when it comes to features, and morons when it comes to online. Its usually Micro$oft and $ony who are the real culprits of greed.

Well I did scrub the game and its saves before formatting so I could do a clean install no matter what. I'm not sure I understand what your saying here.

you could not go back to play a lower version of the game 1.0.0 if you have already installed the game update 1.0.1 , 1.2.0 , etc.... even if you deleted the game and reinstall it later
the game update must be installed again in order to play

Okay I think I understand what you mean and maybe I didn't make it clear that when I reinstall the game I'm also installing the update as well. I'm not just installing the game, its both.

Well, I don't see how the term "Greedtendo" affects you in any way but I truly don't give a damn. Pedantic people like you not thanking for people trying to help should not get any...
