SX pro question

I have 2 switch's. A launch model as well as a brand new most likely unhackable model. As it came with os 5.1.0 on it out of the box. So I am going to order the SX pro.

Is it safe to test the sx pro on my console I think is not hackable? I do not want the dongle to be tied to the console if it will not work.

Lastly my launch model is on current firmware and my new one is on the 5.1.0 firmware. If my 5.1.0 turns out to be patched is there anyway to move a user to it without upgrading the firmware? I tested today to see if I could move a user but it wants to update firmware so I guess It is best I wait.

I only care about launching backups of my original carts so is there any present reason why I should not just update the new one to the latest firmware now? I read about fuses and so forth but this seems to be more for tinkers and modders then an end user.

To answer your last question, you do not need to worry about fuses unless you are planning to downgrade for any reason. At the moment there is nothing out there that can't be done on current firmware. Some people are waiting for a cold boot option. Meaning you do not need to use the dongle every time you restart or power off. As of now I don't think that has been released yet.

1. First thing you should do on the switch you plan to use backups on is create a nand backup then copy that to a computer. Maybe make a few copies in other places to be safe. Once you do that go through the activation process of your SX pro license on that console. Once you do that you can use the dongle to test the other console. You could do it before I guess since you would need to activate the license, but once you activate the license on a console that it is. You cannot transfer it.

You can check this thread for the serial numbers: https://team-xecuter.com/forums/thr...-Switch-is-currently-unhackable-(August-2018). That will be a good step in the right direction.

2. If you are planning to transfer anything I would do that before you do anything with SX pro. Anytime you connect to nintendos servers after you run SX you run the risk of being banned. Even with the safety's that are in place.

There is a lot of other good info on this forum about options to protect yourself from being banned, but again nothing is 100%.

One last thing and this is a personal opinion. Since you already have 2 switches, I would leave one alone so you can go online, play games online etc...and only mod 1 of them. Even if they are both hackable. You can always mod the second one down the road if you really don't care to go online or if things change as far as not getting banned. You would just need to buy a single SX license for the second switch. You can still use the same dongle.

Thanks so much. I will use the old switch for SX pro and keep the new one untouched for online.
