I just recently ordered the X3 from System-mods.com. I get the package and it's missing the HD/LAN/D0 wire. So I call them to get them to send the wire. The guy says they have to do an investigation and talk to shipping to see if there was a mistake. I asked to speak to the supervisor and the guy tells me that his boss is not allowed to take phone calls, WTF. So I ask how they would be able to determine that a wire was not in the package when they shipped it as the invoice has only one item. He just said he didn't know it wasn't his department. When asked if I could return what was sent to me he said they don't do refunds, but they could do an RMA and ship a new chip out. WTF--I just need the [email protected] HD/LAN/D0 wire, not an entire new package. Bunch of dumb a$$es if you ask me. I would def not do business with a company who doesn't allow the customer to talk to a supervisor on what is clearly their mistake.

I have ordered several times from them with no real problems, and now that they use UPS I will use them again with the new front panel comes out. Remember that most of the times these are very small outfits.

wrong forum ass clown
my thoughts exactly Sage2050

Even though it was a bad experience and we all don't want to have experiences of that kind. This is posted in the wrong place and I don't know why people can't read and notice there is a proper place for these types of posts and this is not that place.

I've never had a problem with system-mods. That's where I tell all my friends to get their chips. Always fast shipping and easy transactions.

you all know that you can talk to system mods on irc...

"smt" should be the where you need to go. At least thats what it used to be. I think they are great....they did well moving the product out fast for me. I actually thought that the factories were doing all the packing of mod chips...I didn't know system mods was doing the packaging.

BE patient....modding should be fun...and sh*t happens...not the end of the world sounds like you could get a whole new chip out of the whole deal...so you have to wait an extra week....quit your bitching...

Talking on their IRC is what got me the result that I wanted. One of the guys said he would put the wire in a reg mail envelope and mail it to me. I'm not looking for an extra chip, I just want the HD/LAN/D0 wire that wasn't in the package I got. YES, they do ship fast, and YES the support on the IRC is phenomenal, but I was POed from the sales guy on the phone that from my perspective was trying to give me a run around, and he thought it not a problem that I should wait at least a week for the problem to be resolved.

Let me clarify: He said it would be about 4 to 6 days just to investigate the matter. He never gave me a time frame of when or if the part would be shipped.
