Only other thing I could think of would be use a probe 3. I do not like to give up on projects but I don't know what else could be going on. My thoughts are either the probe or the board. But those are just guesses.

I suppose, but I can probably just pick up a new drive for the cost of a probe 3. And it worked just fine flashing it :/ Didn't really want to spend money.

Bad connection maybe?
Not if I could flash LT+ just fine :p

"Sending Vendor Outro to port 0x0000

Drive is Lite-On.. "

It was working before, so what changed?

Go through the process again, loading your dummy.bin. Let the LT+ firmware auto-load. Post your output from JF again.

What?????

You're not required to reply with guesses. If you don't know, don't post.

You're absolutely right, it was working fine before I modded the powercord, erased the firmware, and installed a third-party hacked firmware on a ten year old drive :p Any number of things could have gone wrong.

I will post a log when I get home today. My thought is that my probe is shorting the drive somehow, or caused a bad lead when I probed. I did miss the point a few times, but I never had any negative effects. It does seem strange that I can flash to LT+ just fine, but not to stock. That makes me think that my FW is incompatible--perhaps I should try the pre 02510 firmware when I get home as well.

Also, could it just be a laser/motor error causing the xbox to restart?

ok... you mean like this?

I did miss the point a few times
Not sure how you managed this - maybe a better image of your setup is needed.

If 0251 LT flashes fine, so will 0251 stock. They're effectively the same firmware.

Yes, probably like that. And I managed it because I kept looking away from the board to check JFlasher and apparently I can't hold my hand still. I can post pictures of my setup later as well.
