I just want to say a big thank you to Team Xecuter for coming out with the best mod chips available today.
I got my first X3 about a month ago. I waited patiently for about a week for a buddy of mine to install it. I finally gave up on waiting and decided to install it myself.
I have minimial to NO solder skills and was pretty freaked out about soldering the chip into my ver 1.0 xbox.
Needless to say, thanks to Team Xecuters GREAT installation guides and the help on the forum, I installed that chip first time around. Closed up my xbox and everything worked.
I went on from there to mod my buddies v 1.4 xbox for him with a X3 chip.
From there word spread and I've done 4 2.2 pro chips on V 1.0 and 1.4 xbox's.
Only problem I had was that I lift the D0 trace when installing one of the 2.2pro chips. It was a stupid n00b mistake but I was able to fix it and all's good.
Last night was my first attempt at a X3 in a v1.6 xbox. I was pretty nervous as I knew that I had to do the LPC rebuild. I used the forums to research how to do it and what problems people were having. Team Xecuter's LPC rebuild board proved to be a snap and it worked first time. U also installed the pro switch for the guy. His was a crystal xbox and I gotta say it looked pretty damn sweet!!!
So in total I've modded 6 so far and I have 3 more lined up next week.
