First I'd just like to say thanks to xecuter for one hell of a product.

Here's my situation
And it's probably good to note I barely get by with my soldering. I have a 16mb Jasper
I can read and write to the nand just fine. I used the pinheader method.
Im using coolshrimps tool the newest version 12611
I used the alternative jtag wiring aud and then connect to the dvd drive wire by using this tut
http://team-xecuter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55189

If I use the tool and tell it to write xell or xellous the xbox goes dead when I try boot just like another member posted recently.

Last night I followed another tut on here to build a xbr image

The console booted however it did not boot xell when I pressed the eject button no matter what jumper settings I tried.

Its my understanding that the jtag wiring has to be solid for xell to boot, correct?
My jtag qsb did look a little brown near one of the soldering points could that be damaged? Should I test the connections with a multimeter? Is there a tut on proper voltages?

Should I try creating another freeboot image with different options?

I guess Im just looking for the next steps I should take.
Sorry for bein such a noob and thanks in advance for any guidance.

if you could boot the xbr images you made and flashed to your console, then the jtag points are ok

regarding the jtagtool i can't help you since its long time since i used it last

If XBR doesn't boot into xell then you need to manually update xellous to the NAND.

Your console won't boot previously because you most likely wrote the wrong xell to it. If you are using the alternate points then you need to tick the alternate points options in Jtag tool for it to use the write files. Or you could always use the files from my signature.

I believe you're right. I believe I wrote xell the fiirst time without the box checked

I just tried writing xellous to it with the jtag tool and the aud clamp dvd open ticked and it wont power on.

Whats the easier way to go manually writing xellous or using ur files?

Thx for the help!

use nandpro, and remember if you are on win vista or win 7 then run command promt in administrator mode

I have to be missing something simple

I took my original nand
using flash360 I injected the proper smc into the original nand

using nanpro I flashed this nand

using nanpro I flashed the xellous file named xell-2f from the usual places

nothing its dead no matter which jumper setting I have.

Everything took from nandpro I get one error at block 359 but everything I read said thats ok
nothing comes up in nandhealer

Got it! I did the original wiring and xell booted right up for me. After I got the cpu key I tried to go back to the alternative wiring and just couldnt get it to go. So Im sticking it out with the original wiring and hoping it does ok. Thanks everyone!
