I really don't get why my other thread was closed while I was writing up a final big Thank You with a few more questions.


I fully understood from the beginning that my dash would prevent me from running RGH (until hopefully 16133 is released and hackable)

I still wanted to get the experience of getting the DemoN installed and NAND read, and I greatly thank you all for your help in that matter.


One final question then I will leave this forum alone:
With what I have now (DemoN, NAND read, CR revC, newest dash) is it possible to get the DVD-Key at all?

Someone said all I needed was the CoolRunner, so is Xell supposed to run on glitch (if it was glitchable) without reprogramming the NAND? I got the DemoN because I thought you needed either that or a NAND-X, and they were the same price.

That's not the question. I know it is not RGH able. The question is can I get the DVD-Key?

I said I leave the forum alone because apparently people think I am "wasting bandwidth", even though I have spent like 10 hours reading this forum over the past 2-weeks and I still have some questions. It has to be possible to get the Key's even if it requires sniffing the NAND lines with an O-scope and counting the bits, but apparently that is not a discovered method yet.

By normal means is if your DVD drive is still functioning enough to read the key. With the Zephyr you probably have a BenQ. If it still works, it's easy enough to get with JungleFlasher. (Follow the PDF...)

If you don't, which I suspect might be the case, you're waiting...

The other disappointing news for you is that even with the RHG that may (or may not be) for the new kernel... you have a Zephyr which are not easy to glitch at all.

So you might never get a DVD key :(

Your topic was closed as it was apparent you hadn't read any of the basics to get where you were. I keep referring people to my roadmap for noobies because it answers a lot of your questions before you start. In your case, "Can I RGH my console?".

Understanding is key. The DVD key is stored in the Keyvault. The Keyvault is encrypted by the CPU key. You can only get the CPU key by JTAG/RGH means (or KK exploit if you want to go back that far or be that detailed).

I suggest you do a lot more reading into the process of RGH. Ultimately you need the CPU key to do ANYTHING useful with the data in your console.
