Hi guys think i did it ok im sure it went into mode b cos it showed up in windows flash seemed to go ok but have not tried it yet cos i dont no how to back up my games cant wait to bk up my GOW cos its got a mega scratch on it!! also do i need to keep the xbins stuff etc?

ok mate i used themaximus Garyopa_XTRM-Hitachi_v2_3stealthrev 2 i will zip it up and email it 2 myself as it puts a bk up of my original firmware in the folder 2. The problem im having is trying to back up my games i really dont no the best method to use for the hitachi drive can u help me out with it

you cannot back up games with the hitachi drive mate only the sammys can do that but you could purchase a kreon drive that too is all in the tutorials

yeah i was reading about that i was looking on ebay and some of those drives already have the firmware on them which is good

Just red the tut again and it looks quite simple does this backup program support all those drives that is listed in textbook pdf or would u no which one is the best 1? think i will go for the ide one as i only have 1 dvd drive at the mo but dont no which one outta the 2

yes it supports them all theirs a guy on ebay sellling one for 15 pound plus fiver for packaging

You can make backups with your Hitachi. Use the WxRipper method in textbook's tutorial. Then to get the ss,pfi, and dmi, put the drive in mode B and use the drive tools in Xbox Backup Creator then use the SS Merger.

nope matey as to be in mode b or it wont be reconised in windows at all
