I'd like to backup a few official games of mine and i'd like to know what is the 0800 firmware and if my dg-16d2s is compatible ... Can I revert ,after the backup, back to previus firmware that i had or is permanent ? If i backup my drive FW can I then flash it back or not ?

The 0800 fw will make your drive an external drive. Needed to make your backups.
When you are done with all your backups, you can revert back to the OFW no problem.
Just follow the steps using jungle flasher and make sure you save your DVD key if you want to put that drive back into the xbox.

Yes the drive is compatible and yes as long as you keep the original drive key then you can flash it back to an Xbox drive at any time from an 0800.
