The battery of my Switch decreases while it is off

Hello guys, I realized that if I turn off my Switch at 100% charge and take it back the day after turning it on and starting the change via computer (I still have no SX Gear) I find it at 30% .. as if it were turned on after have it turned off ..
I have enabled the RCM car but I don't think this is the problem since the Switch should turn on only after pressing the POWER button ..
I await answers, thanks in advance!

If you have enabled autorcm it will drain your battery, caurse if you just turn it off from the OS it will enter rcm mode

But if I deactivate rcm mode then I need the jig to turn it on, right?

Yes, you then need the jig to get it to rcm mode

You could also just put it into sleepmode insted of turning it off, it will still drain some power, but not nearly as much

ok thank you now it's all clearer .. one question .. soon i'll get the SX Gear along with the Jig so i won't have to use my computer to start the change at boot time, but if i had to use my Switch after weeks and find it charged, you advise me to turn off the rcm mode, turn it off and then when I have to use it to use the jig together with Gear so that we can play safely with all the battery?

I did not understand .. could you explain yourself better? do you mean that since I've always had it active I can't deactivate it? moreover, if I turn off the Switch and remove the sd card should it not stay off? (at least until I get the Jig)

You can turn AutoRCM on or off whenever you want in the SX Boot Menu. Some users keep AutoRCM enabled and always have their switch in the dock charging and others (myself included) have it disabled and use the jig and dongle every time we boot up the switch. If your battery dies while in AutoRCM you can plug it in and let it trickle charge until you are able to boot it up again. It will take a while just to get a few percentages.
Ok you have been very kind, however until I get the Gear and the Jig I will use the RCM mode and I will leave the Switch in sleep mode .. later when I will get everything I need, if by chance you don't have to use it for a few weeks (for then find it charged when I have to use it again) I will deactivate the RCM mode and use the Jig! (y)

I take this opportunity to ask you two questions! :)
1) I have selected the preload of all the images of the ********* and since I have seen that it has occupied me quite a few GB, if I wanted to delete it, what folder should I delete in the SD card where these files reside?
2) I updated Tinfoil 1.5.6 but I can't find eShop icon override, as indicated in the updates
Can you help me?

Usually takes me at least four hours to boot from dead flat, it was annoying and scary when I didn't know WTF was going on ? now it just gets plugged in.

What do you mean “Now it just gets plugged in”?

Plugged in to charge :)
Ah ok, but ... if I did Power Off on Hekate would the Switch not turn off completely preserving its charge, despite having rcm mode active in the settings?

You just need to charge it for like an hr and then boot to hekate and let it charge from there. It will be much faster.

I leave autoRCM on all the time and yes it does drain the battery more than normal, but to be honest if you go from 100% to 30% over night that sounds like a batter issue to me. If I leave mine over night it may go down like 10% or so, not 70%.

Ok and started Hekate how should I leave the Switch to load it faster? Sorry, if I turn it off from Hekate it shouldn't come back on, allowing me to keep its charge, right?

If you leave autoRCM on it will not charge normally if you shut if off again. You would need to leave it booted to hekate or leave it like that for a little and then boot to SX and charge it like you normally would.

I used sxreboot to reboot to the sx boot menu and go options to power off from there or you could hold the power button for 15 sec

SXReboot

the reason for this if you plug it in while power off it power on again but if you plug in before power off it stay off

Yes. I understand how charging and autoRCM work. From this post is seems that the Switch was already dead. So he cannot turn it off properly by going to the bootloader since it's not charged enough to boot fully to anything and it will just keep turning on and going to RCM mode when the charger is plugged in, since autoRCM was on. He needs to let it charge enough so that a payload can be pushed and then it will charge normally.

No I needed to know how I could turn off the Switch without losing its charge. If I have the Switch at 90% and I intend to play in 1 week, I wanted to know how to switch it off permanently without it going in rcm so as not to consume battery and keep it for when I need it.

Ok, thanks, I'll try with both ways you told me. I have already tried to do Power Off from Hekate but in 18 hours I consumed 6% so I don't think doing it from there remains off .. So I'll try to Power Off the SX OS options hoping to solve .. otherwise I'll use the method which consumes less than the Switch

If the console is plugged in, it turns back on automatically. As for the power off issue, I am surprised this isnt fixed already in SX OS, as Atmosphere has had proper power off, and reboot to payload for quite a while.
