Basic question. What's the difference between a retail bought game and a Copy? Other than free and not. Retail games work better than the copies. Why is this? The hack groups out there make good working versions as well. I use the Craxtion4 and my copies seem to skip esp. on games like Fable or anything that has video. it's N00B question but I can't seem to find this question asked.

Thanks.

A copy is not free as you will already have bought the original if you want to make a backuup (the only reason close to being legitimate for making a copy)
If you don't own the game then that is illegal and can't be discussed here.

Edit:
I don't know about putting them onto dvd as I only backup mine to the hdd while I'm playing them often (to save wear&tear from changing discs)

I've never had any problems with any games i've backup'd to my hdd. After owning a gamecube before xbox it's sooooooooo much better to not have to keep switching disc's for gameplay. (gc tiger woods 2005 was 2 cd's and you were constintly having to switch discs)

I'm guessing you're meaning why does the original copy of a game brought in a shop work better than a cd/dvd backup you may make of it?

Put very simply it's becase the originals are pressed in a factory, while a copy is 'burnt' in a cd/dvd writer which is no where near as good as a pressed version (because of the materials and process involved), but still generally works alright.
