Ok in the video tutorial the guy says to change the first three letters of the layout file in wxripper so that when opend the layout says copy dummy and dummy at the top. then were supposed to hit dump. Well ive tryed to change the layout file to what he said and it never worked. you are supposed to change the layout file so that when opened tha layout is dummy, dummy and , dummy. in note pad you change the first three lines to capitol D's NOT to C, D, and D. It simply has not worked for me that way and i was wondering if anyone else had noticed the same thing. If tha video tutorial says somthing that is wrong than it needs to be replaced or needs to be taken down. I kno of 5 people that when through like 5 or more DL dvd's. that could be expensive.

Re: The tutorial for making backups using the wxripper metho

I change it to...

C
D
D

And I make sure to click 'find magic number' only after I have swapped the movie with the game. Make sure your ss file is good and you use clonecd, because that is the default file that ss merger makes. Also make sure your movie is bigger than the game you are backing up. Thats all I know to tell you because thats what works for me and I haven't tried anything else.

I have an ms25 with 5.2c, I know you are just wanting to know but hot swapping the game doesn't have anything to do with your drive make and model, as long as you do everything right, it'll work. I also use the dmi and pfi patches as well, just a personal preference.

Re: The tutorial for making backups using the wxripper metho

does anything change of the way the iso file is created when you add the stealth files to the image? like the layout file in wx ripper why does some people make the first three lines of the iso partition DDD and some people make them CDD? and when some people change it to CDD it doesnt work but for others it does work? why does the layout work for diff people in diff ways because the only way my layout works is when i make the first three lines all DDD. so im trying to see why does diff layouts work for diff people? is their firmware different or their drive, maybe the version of the system, or the media there using? why does diff people have to use different layouts?

Re: The tutorial for making backups using the wxripper metho

oh i have no error i was jus wonderin why ppl use diff layouts. the size of the movie i have is the "titanic' movie i believe its 7.5 gb . so does the size of the movie you are using depend on what layout you will use?
