Think I Made A Flashing Error - Any Help Is Appreciated

I got my Xecuter 3 CE installed on a 1.6b XBOX with the LPC rebuild and all, booted fine with MOD Chip Disabled (Held Power Button Down Longer) But with short hold, it was at Black Screen but with No FRAG. Read on some forum that I prob would have to send to be flashed up, but then found a mention of switching the switch 2 on the front to the right and then trying it...Sure enough I got a screen. Downloaded BIOS and made disk, booted it and the forum with advice about switch 2, said to switch on 1 once it was running, so 1 and 2 on, and flash...well, I forgot to switch 1 on, and it flashed. now it boots to BIOS when bank 2 on, but it goes to a menu, and not to the evolution x dash. I flashed with the 3942 v 16 or something like that, and used evolution x dashboard ISO to prepare a new 80 GB Drive..Did I do something wrong? When I turn all off like originally, I get same black screen, with no FRAG.

When attempt to flash BIOS from Evolution X, It says unknown BIOS...I found a mention on http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evox-flash.php, that you should change something in the BIOS file, to get it to flash... Would like to get Evolution X loaded automatically, and the BIOS flashed to the right place

Any help would be appreciated...

Does it say X3 Config Live by any chance?

If so, congrats - you're almost done. Select the option to reset the chip and once rebooted, you can disable booting to X3 Config Live. This means that anything you've made in the way of boot disks or backups/imports will boot automatically.

Does it matter that I have switch 2 on? I assume 5-8..not 1-4? That is all I am really worried about, but would like to get 1-4 flashed with the proper bios

Not at all - Since you have a 1.6b I would advise you flash the backup ROM with FlashBIOS 3.0.3 ASAP. This can be done from the X3 Config Live menus too. There are some good X3CL guides linked in my signature. Go take a look!
