Ok....so I'm working on my sixth xbox modifications. Five of them I've used xecuter 2.6 and one with a X3 for my friend. Here's how I set up all of my xboxes....
First I install the chip in using the wire configuration. I've done this on four v1.0 and one v1.5 and and the X3 was on a v1.1
Second, I flash X2_5035 bios via CD at the flashbios 3.0.3 screen in bank 2
Third, I use a EvoX boot disk to FTP into my Xbox. I back up my C:\ and E:\ partitions and then copy the nessary files to my HDD and then reboot with the disk out. The xbox then boots to the evox dashboard.
Fouth, I then select backup from my utilities menu, power down. Then I install a new HDD.
Fifth, I use a HDD boot disk to format the new drive, and then I FTP back in and restore my C:\ and E:\ drives.
Finally, I configure all of my program, emulator, etc.
Here's the problem. Today I did everything just as usuall. When I swapped the HDD and formated. Everything was fine. I then rebooted and Then screen froze between the Xecuter rox my box screen and the EvoX dashboard. I could see both. I could still FTP so I proceeded to copy my C:\ and E:\. After I was finished, I rebooted. Same problem. The screen freezes at the rox my box screen and evoX screen. I can still move the menu on evox but It's hard to see. I then tried to reflash the bios. now it frags.
I then took the chip out, put a brand new chip in it and reflashed the bios in bank 2. It now frags on both banks.
I know this is a bios problem, but for some reason both banks are now fragging on two different chips.
Is it time to buy a programmer? Or is there another way of fixing this? Why is bank two no longer flashed with flashbios 3.0.3 in my new chip?
